Get informed on identity theft at forum

Residents who want to protect themselves from identity theft can attend a forum Monday.

The forum will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Purdue Extension Johnson County Office, 484 N. Morton St.

Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller, the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office, Sheila Harmon with the Greenwood Public Library and Barbara Miller with Senior Medicare Patrol will share information on protecting your personal and financial information, including how to request and review your credit report, what to do if there is fraudulent activity and how to freeze your credit.

Presenters also will discuss the latest scams and techniques used by fraudsters to victimize people over the phone and online.

The forum is free, but reservations can be made at 317-736-3724.
