Library scaring up a good time

Families can grab treats and hear spooky stories at a Halloween party hosted by the Greenwood Public Library.

The GPL Spooktacular will be noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 28 at the library, 310 S. Meridian St.

The event is open to all ages and features trick-or-treating, face painting, crafts and a mad scientist lab for the kids, as well as an escape room for teens and adults.

Storyteller Stephanie Holman will share spooky stories appropriate for all ages.

Holman is a professional storyteller with 28 years of experience speaking in front of children, teens and adults.

Registration is not required for the free event. Costumes are encouraged.
