Franklin

Fraud

2801 N. Morton St., police department: A woman reported at 2 p.m. Wednesday that she thought she was sending money to an organization that she owed money too. They told her to send money to them via gift cards which she did, she sent them a total of six gift cards totaling $1,000.

Hit and Run

N. Morton St. and Schoolhouse Road: Reported at 8:19 p.m. Wednesday that a man had struck another vehicle and fled the area. The driver was later located and arrested on several charges.

1000 block of Lakeside Drive: A woman reported at 8:19 a.m. Wednesday that her vehicle had been struck sometime overnight.

Personal-injury crash

8:19 p.m. Wednesday — U.S. 31 and Schoolhouse Road. A man, 69, reported having pain and injury to his neck.

4:16 p.m. Tuesday — Madison Ave. and Smith Valley Road. A man, 31, reported having pain and injury to his back.

1:26 p.m. Tuesday — Emerson Ave. and Country Aire Drive. A woman, 40, reported having pain and injury to her neck.

10:03 a.m. Tuesday — County Line Road and Graham Road. A man, 50, reported having pain and injury to his neck.

Johnson County

Narcotics

Lincoln Park Blvd. and W. County Line Road, Greenwood: An officer reported at 1:17 p.m. Wednesday that during a traffic stop for driving while suspended he observed marijuana and a pipe in the center console of the vehicle. The driver was issued summons for possession of paraphernalia and a citation for driving while suspended with prior conviction.

W. Stone Crossing Road and Chancery Blvd., Greenwood: An officer reported at 8:02 a.m. Wednesday that a vehicle attempted to drive past a marked sheriff vehicle and the officer stopped the vehicle. The driver admitted to not having a driver’s license and after a search of the vehicle a marijuana and a smoking pipe were located. The driver was arrested for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, operating a vehicle with never receiving a driver license and a citation for disobeying a traffic control officer.

Theft

3000 block of Hurricane Road, Franklin: A man reported at 10:31 a.m. Wednesday that his pistol was missing from his vehicle.

Zachary Jacob Lyon, 31, Greenwood; arrested on an out-of-county warrant; held without bond.

Cyril Hugh Love, 47, Morgantown; arrested on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage crash, operating a vehicle while intoxicated with prior conviction and possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia; held on $3,000 bond.
