A group of Center Grove High School juniors spent Wednesday out of school and doing outdoor housework.
This wasn’t mom and dad’s chore list. They were trimming bushes and trees and pulling weeds in Bernice Grabenhoter’s yard Wednesday. Grabenhoter, a member of The Social of Greenwood, has trouble doing the work herself and appreciated their help in fixing up her yard.
“It’s wonderful. There are so many things I can’t do myself anymore,” Grabenhoter said.
The four students worked in Grabenhoter’s yard as part of Center Grove’s 14th annual Day of Caring, a United Way project to get teens into the community and helping others.
