Nineteen residents are vying for an open seat on Center Grove’s school board.
The seat on the board is open after member Susan Mullendore died this month. Mullendore had two years left on her term, and Center Grove must fill the seat by next month.
The candidates are: Dr. Robert Boyer, Lana Osterman, Teresa A. Brown, Lisa Porat, Vince Cullers, Pam Price, Rebecca Davis, Brad Pugh, J.T. Doane, Clara Spenny, Rebecca Edlin, John Steed, Brandyn Ferguson, Robert Stiles, Deborah Leser, Dr. Sanjay Vyas, Angela Morris, Chris Wood and Adam Norman.
All candidates will be interviewed at a special board meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The candidate pool will be reduced to three to five finalists, who will be interviewed at a special board meeting at 7 p.m. March 4. The new board member will be selected and sworn in at 7 p.m. March 7.
All meetings are open to the public and will be at the Center Grove Educational Services Center, 4800 Stones Crossing Road, Greenwood.
