Police are investigating what happened when a 3-year-old boy was shot in the stomach at a Brown County home Sunday night.
A woman called 911 at 5:51 p.m. and asked for an ambulance to come to the home at 6319 Spearsville Road for the child who had been shot in the stomach. The child was taken by medical helicopter to Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis.
The injury was not fatal, but police did not know the boy’s condition Monday, according to an Indiana State Police news release.
