Five people who worked for a failed Greenwood pharmaceutical company are asking to be paid back wages.
A judge on Friday gave the former Elona Biotechnologies workers permission to file claims on money made from the sale of the company’s assets. Jeffrey Rice of Mooresville, Judith McManama of Noblesville, Matthew Skinner of Trafalgar, Theodore Taylor of Fishers and David Stokell of Indianapolis are requesting a total of $127,495 in pay.
Greenwood had given and loaned $8.5 million to Elona, and sold the company’s new building, patents and equipment at auction in September to recoup some of its investment. The assets sold for $2.174 million at the auction, with $425,000 of it going to Heartland Bank, another creditor.
