Mold is growing on the vacant home, and mice and raccoons climb through holes in the walls.
Patrick Combs has lived next door to the house on Grassy Drive in New Whiteland for four years, and he’s called the financial institution that owns the house, Fannie Mae, and local government offices trying to get the place cleaned up.
Someone comes every now and then to mow, he said. He recently cut back some of the bushes himself because they were pushing onto his property. But little else has been done to the home, which neighbors said has been vacant for eight to 10 years.
