Meet three graduates of Clark Pleasant Academy.

As they were trying to earn their high school diplomas, they also were dealing with problems that included drug addiction, bullying and serious health complications that at times had them believing graduating was from high school was impossible. Alternative academies in the Center Grove, Clark-Pleasant, Franklin and Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson school districts allow students to complete the courses at their own pace using a computer program.

The classes usually meet for half-days at a time, giving students time during the day to work, attend doctor appointments or take classes at the Central Nine Career Center.
