In late January, the Edinburgh boys basketball team was 10-2 and looking like a state championship contender.
In mid-February, the Lancers were 11-8 and looking more like first-round fodder in a notoriously tough Class A sectional.
But now, with late-season struggles seemingly in their wake, the tournament-host Lancers enter the sectional more closely resembling defending champions, which they are, and regional champions, which they are.
