Residents of the Shepherds Grove neighborhood in White River Township would prefer to be part of an established city instead of a proposed town.
They want the “Welcome to Greenwood sign” to be moved a few hundred feet west so it’s in front of their subdivision entrance. Residents of the neighborhood southwest of Smith Valley Road and State Road 135 are asking to be annexed into the city.
Homeowners association president president Donna Cale has collected signatures from about 90 percent of the homeowners requesting that Greenwood annex the neighborhood.
