A new assisted living facility will be built in Greenwood, helping address a growing need for senior care.
Kansas-based Bickford Senior Living is constructing a 36,000-square-foot building at State Road 135 and Curry Road and plans to open the 58-bed facility by fall, said Shannon Huffman, Bickford of Greenwood director.
The Greenwood facility will cost about $5 million to build and will include 16 memory care beds for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and 42 assisted living beds, according to documents filed with the Greenwood Planning Department.
