Attending breakfasts can support veterans

This month’s Memorial Day biscuit and gravy breakfasts will help fund transportation costs for area veterans who go to Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Indianapolis.

The community is invited to attend the breakfasts, which will be 7:30 to 10 a.m. May 25 at local American Legion posts: 334 U.S. 31 South in Greenwood; 500 Memorial Drive in Edinburgh; and 1200 Park Ave. in Franklin.

World War II veterans will eat for free. Attendees are asked to give a $5 donation to the Johnson County Veterans Fund for the meal.
