No chance, that is, in today’s ultra-inquisitive process for probing the psyche of young athletes by their pro sports employers.
The icon, who put up big numbers on the field and even bigger stories off it, could not have survived in today’s sports world, where micromanaged personal lives and political correctness threaten to sap the flavor of today’s athletes.
Athletes? That is one word to describe those who hit, shoot and drive our sports appetites.
