A central Indiana priest who had been missing in Greece is safe, his family said.
The Rev. Christiaan Kappes, 36, contacted his family with a short message indicating he was not in danger and no longer in Greece, his father, Virgil Kappes, said. The message comes a week after the Beech Grove man last was heard from.
Some of Christiaan Kappes’ family lives in Franklin.
Christiaan Kappes might fly home this week. But family members did not want to comment further until they had received all of the facts and information from U.S. authorities, Virgil Kappes said.
