The player currently at No. 32 on Indiana’s all-time girls basketball scoring list is scheduled to have a surgical procedure performed on her right knee this afternoon.

There are no tears. Its purpose is to clean up scar tissue and whatever bone fragments might persist following a high school basketball career that resulted in 1,928 points, more than 1,000 rebounds and the respect of every crowd Ally Lehman performed in front of.

The 5-foot-11 senior from Indian Creek High School admits she’ll be thinking a lot about the courts during a rehabilitation period scheduled to last from 30 days to a few months.
