CHARLOTTESVILLE
Like last season, Indian Creek began Mid-Indiana Football Conference play with an 0-2 record against Eastern Hancock. And similar to last season, the Braves played above their Class 3A status with losses to Class 5A Terre Haute South and Class 4A Greenwood.
To lose to the host Royals would also mark the first time the Braves had begun the season 0-3 under veteran coach Mike Gillin, in his 12th season.
Fortunately for the Braves, it didn’t happen.
That’s because the Braves’ potent offense kicked into high gear for a 42-32 triumph at Eastern Hancock Friday night.
