Three candidates for Center Grove school board want to focus on academic programs for all students and retaining teachers when considering how to cut the school district’s spending.

At a community forum Monday, residents and parents asked the three candidates about the money issues the school district faces.

Fewer students than expected are enrolled in Center Grove schools this year, which means less money is coming in from the state.

Candidates Carol Tumey, Matt Prusiecki and Rob Richards discussed their priorities for the school district’s spending and their roles as school board members.
