Drivers and pedestrians maneuvered around a lot of orange construction signs, barriers and barrels in Franklin this year, but the city was able to complete or start about $12 million worth of projects.

Franklin used several sources of funding including loans, state grants, money from the city’s tax-increment financing districts and savings to pay for the projects, which mostly focused on revitalizing the city’s downtown.
