An Indianapolis man was arrested after police said he was driving 50 mph over the speed limit, refused to cooperate with officers and smelled like alcohol.

A driver was going 85 mph on Smith Valley Road near Runyon Road, where the speed limit is 35 mph. A deputy stopped the car about 11:15 p.m. Sunday and asked him to step out of the vehicle, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.

The driver, later identified as Michael J. Summitt, 24, refused to cooperate, yelling and swearing at deputies and lying on his back with his hands under him so he couldn’t be handcuffed.
