Center Grove schools is considering opening its own day care and preschool for employees’ and students’ children as one way to make the district a great place to work.

School officials are asking an architecture company to create plans for two former kindergarten classrooms at Center Grove’s Professional Resource Center, which was formerly Old Maple Grove Elementary.

Converting the two rooms into a preschool and day care would allow Center Grove to provide child care for between 50 and 55 children, up to 4 years old, assistant superintendent Bill Long said.
