Able to see the extended weather forecast with a couple of quick touches of her cellphone, Jordan Timmons couldn’t resist the impulse to play amateur meteorologist.
The Center Grove senior wanted — OK, had — to know what was in store early Saturday afternoon in Terre Haute.
“They’re saying a high of 48 with a chance of rain,” said Timmons, Johnson County’s lone representative at the IHSAA Girls Cross-Country State Meet, somewhat regretfully. “I would prefer it to be a little warmer, but we’ll see how it goes.
“Everybody has to deal with it.”
