Crowds packed the second-floor hallway of the Murphy Arts Center, inching through from one open door to the next.

Galleries such as Two-Thirds Studios and Studio 213 hung fantastical modern works by local artists. Down the hall, music lovers packed into the homey do317 Lounge, where local band Veseria blended punk rock and folk.

Elsewhere, people could watch short award-winning films in the headquarters of Truly Moving Pictures, or take in an immersive video-and-sound art installation at the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art.
