Mike Gillin was hoping to avoid the celebratory drenching that comes with winning a championship.
But after not winning the Mid-Indiana Football Conference title last season, the Indian Creek football coach wasn’t going to mind.
Behind 707 yards of total offense, the Class 3A Braves attained their goal, winning sole possession of the conference title on Senior Night by defeating Class A South Decatur 60-6 on Friday.
“I’ll take (a water bath) for the conference championship,” Gillin said.
