College update: Center Grove grad breaks out at Toledo

University of Toledo volleyball player Adria Pryor, a Center Grove High School graduate, had the first double-double of her college career with 55 assists and 13 digs in a 3-2 win against Eastern Illinois.

The junior, who played in only one match in both her freshman and sophomore seasons, appears to have earned the starting setter position for the Rockets. She had 41 assists in a 3-1 loss to Iowa. The Hawkeyes have won two and lost four.

Pryor earned second team All-State honors as a high school senior and helped lead the Trojans to a 33-4 record.

Center Grove

• Joel Cox, a starter at defensive tackle for the Ball State football team in a 37-26 win against Eastern Michigan, blocked an extra-point try.
