Indianapolis women’s soccer player Stacey Klene scored her first collegiate goal in the Greyhounds’ 2-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference win against Missouri Science and Technology.
The sophomore substitute midfielder, a second-team All-State performer for Center Grove as a high school senior, scored on only her third career shot for the Greyhounds. She had one assist and took one shot while playing in 11 matches as a freshman, three as a starter.
The win against Missouri S&T was Indianapolis’ first conference victory. They are 2-4 for the season, 1-3 in the GLVC.
• The Valparaiso volleyball team (8-6) defeated Indiana 3-2 and Miami and UT-Chattanooga 3-0. Sarah Dooms had 21 kills, 29 digs, two assists, two service aces and one block in the three wins. She had a double-double (10 kills and 11 digs) against Indiana.
