The Franklin College women’s soccer team has won three matches this season, and 5-foot-4 forward Vanessa Benham has scored the game-winning goal in each victory.
The Franklin Community High School graduate scored the only goal in the Grizzlies’ 1-0 win against Millikin last week. Two weeks ago the junior was named Heartland Conference Player of the Week after game-winning goals against Oberlin in a 2-1 overtime win and Heidelberg in a 1-0 win.

Havana Nally won 8-2 at No. 3 singles in Franklin’s 9-0 tennis win against Bluffton.
Franklin’s Makayla Pickleseimer finished 20th of 67 golfers, sixth for the Grizzlies, with a score of 91 at the seven-team Franklin Fall Invitational, won by the hosts.
