Colleges and universities across the state and nation, including 16 in Indiana, have asked Congress to take a stronger stance on gun control.

The letter signed by more than 350 college presidents across the country, including those at Ball State and Butler universities, asked for stricter gun-control laws, including opposing proposals to allow guns on college campuses and endorsing an assault rifle ban and mandatory background checks at gun shows.
