Hats off to Clark Elementary School students and counselor Kelly Forey for their exciting and successful Hats Off to Drug-Free Choices day. Clark Elementary collected more than $300 from students paying $1 each to support the drug-free theme, and chose to donate the money raised to Tobacco Free Johnson County to help provide free tobacco education programs to county schools. Your donation is much appreciated and accepted on behalf of the thousands of students who have attended and will continue to attend these excellent tobacco education awareness and prevention programs.

We would like to thank the community, friends and neighbors for all of the support and help with the Banta Community Hog Roast on Oct 13. It was a huge success. A special thank-you to Billy Russell, Steve Baker and to all of the workers who helped make it a great event. We hope everyone who came had a good time.

Thanks to all the individuals and companies supporting the KIC-IT van setup, conversion and maintenance. Also, a shout-out also to the donors, volunteers and partners, whose tireless efforts have made a big difference in a short time. We are blessed to live in a generous and philanthropic community.
