A crane fell on an Edinburgh house Wednesday, temporarily forcing a woman to leave.

Workers were cutting down a tree at MA Metal, 216 N. Main St., next door to the house, when it fell into the extension arm of a crane being used at the construction site. The crane tipped over and fell onto a shed and the back of the house, according to owner Geraldine Giles.

The crane is about 40 to 50 feet tall and tipped over about 12:30 p.m.
