Seven vehicles parked along or near State Road 135 were broken into during daylight Tuesday.
Someone smashed car windows and took purses and lottery tickets late that morning, Greenwood Police Department Assistant Chief Matt Fillenwarth said.
The thief targeted people who were at work and who left valuables visible in their cars, he said.
