Indian Creek found a different way to win Friday.
On a night when the high-powered Braves offense was mortal, the big plays came on the defensive side of the ball as Indian Creek shut down visiting Mid-Indiana Football Conference rival Milan 29-16.
“We just flew to the ball,” senior Vince Reese said of an energized Braves team that registered a combined eight sacks and tackles for loss in shutting down Milan in the second half.
“We played through injuries and just played hard-nosed football,” Reese said. “We were ready to go.”
