The crossroads Jamie Geitner stood at included as many kicks as it did putts. As much running as it did walking. As much chatter as it did complete silence.
A member of Center Grove’s golf program as a freshman and sophomore before electing to participate in soccer in 2012, the senior has returned to channeling her efforts in the direction of a much smaller target atop a much larger playing platform.
“It’s high school and I’m just trying to do what makes me happy. I don’t regret it. I miss soccer, but last year I missed golf, too,” said Geitner, who played forward and some defender in soccer. “I really missed the team and that thrill of doing good. Golf is a team sport, but there is also a personal satisfaction when you do well.”
