Edinburgh and Eastern Hancock’s girls basketball teams stuffed their respective stat sheets Monday night, but one statistical deficiency proved to be the host Lancers’ undoing in the Mid-Hoosier Conference matchup.
Edinburgh committed 42 turnovers in a 72-50 loss to the Royals. It was a game in which the teams combined for 66 turnovers, 107 rebounds, 51 fouls and 134 field-goal attempts.
Jennifer Stinson led the Lancers with 25 points and a game-high 18 rebounds, while Kiersten Schrope paced Eastern Hancock (11-4 overall, 3-2 Mid-Hoosier) with a game-high 26 points. She scored all but three of her points in the second half, including 14 during a decisive 19-6 run that spanned the third and fourth quarters.
