Powered by senior guard Kyle Wuest's game-high 32 points, the Edinburgh Community High School boys basketball team cruised to an 81-59 win against Hauser in Saturday night's championship game of the Class A Martinsville Regional.
Jordan Burton, a 6-foot-8 senior center, added 21 points and point guard Corey Burton had 14 points and 10 assists to help lead the second-ranked Lancers to their first regional title since 1951.
Winners of 15 straight, the Lancers (23-2) to Saturday's semistate against No. 7 Loogootee (20-4) at Seymour or Southport. Loogootee advanced with a 58-45 regional win championship win against Orleans.
Against Hauser, a first-quarter jumper in the lane by Patrick Kennedy put Edinburgh up 8-7. The Lancers never trailed after that.
Wuest scored 11 points in the opening quarter and had 17 at halftime. He is now the school's all-time scoring leader with 1,732 career points.
Wuest earned the distinction in earlier in the day, when he scored 21 points during the Lancers' 83-64 semifinal win against University.
Senior guard Adam Miller led Hauser (17-7) with 18 points.
