Keeping one jump ahead of dealers preying on the state’s young people is difficult.
It is especially so in the area of artificial stimulants. Many young people foolishly misuse products in an attempt to get high, and unscrupulous retailers are willing to sell them them the materials.
For law enforcement, a continuing problem has been identifying illegal substances and arresting the sellers. Progress has been made in reducing the trade in artificial marijuana, commonly called spice.
