Editorial: Sale of key site opens new chapter for town

For decades, the Safeway and later Mr. D’s supermarket was a landmark in Whiteland.

Then, the grocery was closed, and the empty building became a landmark of another kind as it deteriorated.

Now the site has been sold, and there is a chance to write a new chapter in the commercial history of the site and perhaps much of the area near there.
