This past weekend, vandals moved through areas near downtown Franklin, spray-painting vehicles and a couple of structures.

Because of the relatively confined area of the damage, police suspect teenagers out of school for the summer as the culprits. But at the moment, they have no suspects.

Meanwhile, several Johnson County churches have been broken into. Offices have been ransacked; and cash, musical instruments, computers and other easily transported items have been taken.

The latest victims of this crime spree were Christ Fellowship Church in Whiteland, Friendship Community Church in Trafalgar, Franklin Christian Fellowship and Spearsville Road Church of Christ near Trafalgar. These incidents join an earlier list of church break-ins that police are investigating.
