Ex-Indian Creek principal moving to Franklin schools

The former principal of Indian Creek High School has been hired as Franklin schools’ new assistant superintendent.

Maria Woodke, who was Indian Creek’s principal the previous two school years, replaces Dave Sever, who retired. She will oversee curriculum, staff development, professional learning communities, instruction and evaluation for Franklin’s secondary schools.

“(Woodke’s) outstanding work and leadership as a teacher and secondary administrator provides a clear picture of what we can expect her to accomplish in this new role,” Superintendent David Clendening said in a news release. “She is an advocate for all students. Franklin is excited to have her join our journey and further advance our quest for ‘getting to great.’”
