A father and son from Shelbyville were arrested after they fought at a local golf course.
William Sidney Rains, 48, and Daniel Ryan Rains, 21, were both arrested on a charge of battery at about 6 p.m. Saturday at Cypress Run Golf Course.
Daniel Rains reported that his father tackled him and bit his lip after a dispute over a friend, according to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report.
William Rains told police his son tackled him and that he couldn’t remember most of what happened, the report said.
Police arrested both Daniel and William Rains, 1002 Crestmoor Drive. William Rains asked to be taken to the hospital, and was treated and released from Johnson Memorial Hospital, the release said.
Both were taken to the Johnson County jail, where Daniel Rains was held on $1,000 bond, and William Rains was held on $2,000 bond.
