Firefighters golf outing planned for Thursday

A group of local firefighters is hosting a golf outing to raise money for a planned Greenwood memorial.
Johnson County Professional Firefighters Local 4252 will have its annual golf outing fundraiser Thursday.
This year most proceeds are designated for the military, police and fire memorial planned in Freedom Park in Greenwood. Other local charities also will benefit.
The outing will be at Valle Vista Country Club, located at 755 E. Main St. in Greenwood. Cost is $75 per golfer or $300 per four-person team.
Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., and a shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m. Dinner and awards will be at Oaken Barrel, 50 N. Airport Parkway, Greenwood.
