Medical researchers at Indiana University have scored countless victories against cancer. Purdue nurtured the astrophysics and engineering skills of the first man to walk on the moon.
Yet, the highest paid teachers at those institutions aren’t those who have so enriched our quality of life and America’s leadership in the world. Not even close.
Instead, the basketball and football coaches at those universities make five times, or more, than the researchers and thought leaders upon whom our future depends. It is true not just in Indiana but across the nation.
