Daniel Schuetz could often be found coaching his daughters’ soccer teams or impressing friends with his wide-ranging knowledge of trivia.

Friends and colleagues remember Schuetz, 38, as bright, well-educated, enthusiastic and devoted to his wife and two daughters.

They said he was a family man who had a great deal of energy, whether he was working as an attorney representing clients, cooking or spending time at the Willard restaurant every Friday talking about subjects as diverse as art and soccer.
