BLOOMINGTON

In her first golf outing of the season, Franklin junior Hannah White carded a 77 at the Plainfield Invitational on July 31.

White posted another 77, this one a lot more meaningful, at Monday’s IHSAA Bloomington North Sectional at Cascades Golf Course.

Talk about good timing.

“I was very comfortable out there, and I knew I could do this,” White said. “I have done well on this course before, and I just stayed calm.”

White and senior teammate Erin Bush remained calm enough to advance as individuals to Saturday’s Evansville Memorial Regional. Bush qualified with an 85.

With White and Bush leading the way, Franklin finished fourth in the nine-team tournament with a 348. The top three teams advance to the regional.
