There’s good reason it seems like 15 minutes ago that Ashley Burton was an outfield fixture for the softball teams at Indian Creek High School.

Burton, the new head softball coach at Edinburgh, is only five seasons removed from her final at-bat in a Braves uniform. The Bargersville resident turns 23 on Sunday.

The Indian Creek-Edinburgh softball rivalry tends to be lost on Burton more than others. For good reason.
