Girls Inc. planning fairgrounds fundraiser

A Franklin organization is hosting a girls’ night out.

The Girls Inc. event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at Scott Hall at the Johnson County fairgrounds in Franklin.

Selective Seconds of Greenwood and CJ’s Consignments of Franklin will present a style show using local community leaders as models.

Those attending will be able to shop at multiple booths for jewelry, makeup, accessories, crafters, food vendors, housewares and pampering items. Light refreshments will be available.

Tickets for Girls Night Out will be available at Girls Inc., 200 E. Madison, Franklin; Selective Seconds, 1140 N. State Road 135, Greenwood; CJ’s Consignments, 219 W. Jefferson St., Franklin; and all Heartland Bank locations.

Advance tickets are $15 each or two for $25. The price at the door will be $20 each.

The Applebee’s in Franklin will host a Dining to Donate event on Oct. 10, with a portion of the sales going to Girls Inc. To participate, diners should present a certificate, which is available at ticket locations and online at girlsincjc.org.
