We hiked. We danced. We boxed. We talked. We soaked in a hot tub. We laughed. We fell asleep in the movie theater.
That’s what happened last weekend during our “girls retreat.”
My sister Debbie invited the daughters and me to a spur-of-the-moment, weekend getaway in a luxurious three-story log cabin in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Debbie declared it a girls retreat, since her husband had to stay home to work, and mine quickly volunteered to clean the garage and carpool our youngest to “Wizard of Oz” play practice to avoid the “estrogen gathering.”
