OK. If I’m going to do that half-marathon in November, I guess I’d better get out on the road and get training.
Sometimes when I run, I let my mind wander where it will, and other times I try to direct it in a more specific, focused way.
This is one of those times. Today’s training theme is: reasons to be grateful.
I can start right off by being grateful for this beautiful morning. It is sunny and cool; the temperature when I left was 73 degrees.
We are supposed to get rain later today, and I am especially grateful for that. The latest numbers I have seen say that even after the above-average rainfall we have experienced in the past few weeks, we are still nearly 6 inches below normal.
