Greenwood company gets equipment incentive

Greenwood gave final approval to nearly $3 million in tax breaks on new equipment and a building project for two businesses that are expanding.

Nachi America subsidiaries Nachi Tool America and Nachi Technology plan to spend about $50 million on new equipment and a new building and create 17 new jobs. The companies currently have 132 employees.

The tax breaks will save Nachi Tool America a total of $1.76 million in property taxes over 10 years for its new building and equipment and save Nachi Technology a total of $1.15 million in property taxes over 10 years for new equipment.
