A man convicted of repeatedly raping a Greenwood woman at knifepoint while her 1-year-old daughter slept nearby won’t be eligible for parole for more than 100 years and will die in prison.
Shawn Corbally, 34, was convicted by a jury last month of eight felonies, including rape and four counts of criminal deviate conduct. On Monday, he was sentenced to 270 years in prison.
Johnson Circuit Judge Mark Loyd said Corbally deserved nearly the maximum sentence the law allows because of several factors, including his past convictions for two other rapes and for child molesting while he was a juvenile.
